Rubella: is a common human ailment often seen as a childhood disease. For the Wolgos, on the other hand, it's a highly infectious and dangerous disease. Wolgos have weak immunity and high intolerance for this disease, and its effects are much more severe on Wolgos infected with it. A rubella infection starts with mild sweats, a cough and a slight fever. As days pass, the fever progressively becomes a high and unrelenting fever with muscle fatigue and weakness. A rash develops all over the body that increasingly becomes angrier, and the skin can split and break at the joints or where it rubs together.

A rubella rash can develop into a hemorrhagic rash as blood and fluid leak out from breaks and cracking; the cough becomes profound shortness of breath, a bloody cough, and can even lead to respiratory failure. Encephalitis and heart inflammation are likely complications that can result in death. In pregnant Wolgos women, it's common for a miscarriage to happen as a result; congenital issues such as hare lips also can result.

Without treatment, rubella has a mortality rate of between twenty to fifty per cent of infected Wolgos. Survivors may have lasting complications such as neurological damage, scarring, heart and liver damage.
