Wolgos Tribes
The Wolgos tribes trace their origins deep into the shadowy reaches of prehistory within the enigmatic land of Dhonowlgos. These tribes emerged as distinct entities as Wolgos families expanded and began to dominate various territories across the Dnkluwos islands, cultivating a rich tapestry of culture and tradition. Over time, these families coalesced into petty chiefdoms, each ruled by its own chieftain, marking the landscape with their unique customs and governance.
However, the ascendancy of these petty chiefdoms waned as the spiritual and temporal power of abbeys surged. Theocratic rule gradually became the cornerstone of Dhonowlgos society, overshadowing the secular influence of the tribal chiefdoms. Despite this shift, the Wolgos tribes retained their significance as bastions of tradition and social power. They skillfully balanced the influence of the abbeys, ensuring that their cultural heritage and authority persisted, albeit in a diminished capacity.
The influence of the Wolgos tribes suffered further decline during the later epochs of Dhonowlgos history. During the Bind era, a time of great migration leading the Wolgos to venture into the vast expanse of Altaia. Amidst these trials, the tribes emerged as pivotal sanctuaries of support and safety for families navigating the uncertainties of the Bind. Remarkably, some tribes even laid the foundations of petty kingdoms, carving out realms of autonomy and influence within this new world.
The modern era of the Wolgos tribes dawned after the harrowing Second Wolgos Trek, a period marked by devastation and a significant reduction in the Wolgos population. Those who survived clung fiercely to their traditionalist values and tribal identities, elements that became increasingly crucial as the Wolgos sought to recover and expand. Their journey led them into Kupeya, where the tribes assumed a new and vital role. In the absence of a formal government, they became the de facto rulers and the very essence of governance within the nascent Hergom ep Swerkorwos.
Today, the tribes are not merely a component of Hergom ep Swerkorwos; they are its heart and soul, intricately woven into the fabric of the state's governance and administration. The surviving sixty-five tribes have not only grown in size but have also seen their identities solidified and strengthened.
