Nestorian Conflict: Rise of Orderism and Rebellion (7677-7687)

The Nestorian Conflict, a pivotal chapter in the history of the fictional world of [Your World Name], unfolded as Nestor, a conservative and militaristic island nation, faced internal turmoil amid growing influence from the Stolvic Orderist Commonwealth. This conflict, spanning from 7677 to 7687, marked a significant departure from Nestor's historically stable trajectory.

Background

Nestor's isolationist tendencies persisted until the aftermath of the first Wolgos War (7598-7603), which prompted the nation to open up to the outside world. Progressive ideas from the Stolvic Orderist Commonwealth gained traction among the Nestorian populace, leading to calls for reforms that clashed with the government's staunch resistance.

Events

7677: Stelneck Protest and Divide

In 7677, the island of Stelneck witnessed a large protest organized by locals closest to the Stolvic Orderist Commonwealth. The government's heavy-handed response, resulting in 41 casualties, intensified the divide between pro-conservatives supporting the harsh action and pro-progressives condemning it as inhumane.

7678: Unrest in the North-West

The north-western region, particularly Stelneck and Tricor, experienced increased instability. The government deployed additional soldiers, triggering the emergence of two opposing factions—the peaceful Nestorian Orderist Party (NOP) advocating for progressive laws and the radical Nestorian Orderist Rebellion (NOR). The SOC supported the NOR to destabilize Nestor and promote Orderism.

7679-7681: Escalation and Rebellion

The NOR escalated its activities, painting the government as terrorists. Shootouts ensued, resulting in casualties on both sides. NOR members covertly moved to Stelneck, seizing control of militia and military bases. With over 100 thousand members, the NOR's true strength remained elusive.

7682: Island Independence and Intervention

The NOR on Stelneck declared independence and aligned with the SOC. The Nestorian government, facing military intervention, was blocked by the SOC, claiming the island as their own. International pressure, particularly from capitalist nations, forced the SOC to lift the blockade. A ground offensive against the NOR commenced, preventing an all-out war.

7687: Aftermath and Tensions

Following the conflict, rebels either sought refuge in the SOC or went underground in Stelneck and Nestorian mainland. The Nestorian government, complying with the SOC treaty, handed control of the island to Veclar, a Nestorian militia group. While tensions eased, the SOC remained discontent with Nestor's treatment of Orderist rebels.

OLD

The lords of Nestor minor got inspired by the orderist ideology of the Stolvic Orderist Commonwealth. The lords of the island had some freedom to adopt the ideology as long as they complied with national law but it was quite limited. For a while the lord of Tricora wanted the orderist ideology but they were not allowed to. The pressure from the Stolvic Orderist Commonwealth increased for the people of Tricora and the Stolvic Orderist Commonwealth told the people to fight for their rights to adopt any ideology they wanted. This increased pressure caused the people in the state to come in conflict with the national government who didn't allow the states to adopt orderism to protect the national identity and stability of the nation. After decades of increasing more pressure from the Stolvic Orderist Commonwealth, the Nestorian Orderist Revolutionaries (NOR) was created.

The Tunir Protests (7677)

The Nestorian Orderist Revolutionaries with help from the Stolvic Orderist Commonwealth organized a large demonstration against the king of Nestor and the Conservative government in Tunir, the capital of Tricora. The local police had trouble keeping the people under control and the Nestorian military had to intervene. 14 people were killed, 273 people were injured and 2572 people got arrested. The deaths and the amount of injured further increased the divide in Tricora.

The Radical Divide of the Nestorian Orderist Revolutionaries (7678)

After the bloody demonstration, the Nestorian military and the factions military send extra reinforcements to Tricora in order to stabilize the local government. The increase of military presence in Tricora however caused an increase in civilian on military conflict. The Nestorian Orderist Revolutionaries started to radicalize and bombarde the military bases. These attacks together became known as the Telecor Attacks (Telecor is the region). The Nestorian government passed the anti-terrorism law which painted many people who aligned themselves with the radical revolutionaries as terrorist. Within the Nestorian Orderist Revolutionaries a divide started to occur because of this. The peaceful protesters began to distance themselves from the radical revolutionaries. A new group, the New Orderists Movement, was created who demanded that the state was allowed to implement orderist laws and give the local lord more autonomy. The New Orderists Movement came in agreement with the state in 7679.

The Terrorist Crisis (7679-7681)

A small group stayed in the Nestorian Orderist Revolutionaries (NOR). The Nestorian Orderist Revolutionaries continued with aggressive demonstrations, smear campaigns and spreading misinformation in order to turn people against the state. The NOR started blockades of train tracks, roads and important bridges to disrupt and gain attention from the Nestorian public. The actions of the NOR were not yet aggressive but all changed in 7678 in the city of Eltin in Tricora. The NOR organized an take over of the district of Trunar by setting up roadblocks and pillaging police stations and locking up everyone who was against their ideals. The district that was taken by the NOR was on the coast and the district also had small a port they used to gather supplies. The NOR released the prisoners back into Nestor in trade for recognition from the Nestor government. The NOR reached a member count of tens of thousands of members and they slowly took over all the villages in the district. The Nestorian government with help from the factions evacuated the people in this region and the expansion rarely had any military engagements. The Nestorian government allowed the NOR members to go to the place with the idea that the military can clean them up smoothly. As long as the NOR didn't get supplies, the NOR would have no other option then to surrender.

The Stolvic Orderist Commonwealth Disruption (7682)

The NOR district in Trunar reached an estimated population of 71 thousand members and supplies were running low as predicted. Any food, weaponry or other essential supplies were seized by the Nestorian navy and the faction's militaries involved. The Stolvic Orderist Commonwealth claimed the situation in Trunar was a humanitarian disaster and the Stolvic Orderist Commonwealth wanted to help the NOR with food and water. However the Nestorian didn't allow any ships to enter the Trunar coast region without permission. The Stolvic Orderist Commonwealth asked the Nestorian government for permission to send basic supplies to the NOR but the Nestorian government disagreed. The Nestorian navy and the Livarian navy did navy exercises on the Trunar coast in order to show that no organization should try and send supplies to the NOR. The Stolvic Orderist Commonwealth didn't want war with Livaria or Nestor so they didn't send supplies. The NOR contacted the Stolvic Orderist Commonwealth claiming they had gotten permission to go the port of Trunar after the navy exercise, the Stolvic Orderist Commonwealth was convinced that the NOR told the truth. In 7682 the Stolvic Orderist Commonwealth send a ship with food and water to the port of Trunar. Because it was just humanitarian aid in a dedicated ship meant for humanitarian aid, the Stolvic Orderist Commonwealth agreed to sending the aid.

The ship with humanitarian aid headed to Trunar but only 1 kilometer from the coast, the ship was boarded by the the Nestorian marines. The Nestorian marines demanded the control over the ship, the Stolvic Orderist Commonwealth was angry because they were told they had free passage for humanitarian aid. The NOR convinced the Stolvic Orderist Commonwealth that the Nestorian government lied about the blockade and they had no right to take over the ship. The food supplies never reached the district of Trunar and the NOR had to look for a new supply of food.

The Second Phase of the Nestorian Orderist Revolutionaries Expansion (7683)

With the news that the humanitarian aid was not coming, the NOR members decided that the only thing they can do is to take over the farmlands of east Hilcar (the sector Trunar is in). This expansion made the Nestorian government more alert of the problem at hand. The NOR got labeled as rebels and terrorist. The Nestorian government gathered support from the people to prepare a counter offensive. With the news that the Nestorian military would go to war the NOR, 18 thousand NOR members surrendered leaving approximately 47 thousand loyal NOR members and 6 thousand civilians. The remaining loyal NOR members started building military bases, fortresses and defense line in the region waiting for the Nestorian counter offensive. The NOR in their conquest for the farmlands also captured the weapon supply of the Vecly military unit who left the region in a hurry. The outpost supplied a large of the NOR with weapons including artillery systems, tanks and a small wing of RP-12 fighters.

Start of Orderist Rebellion Neutralization Campaign (7683-7687)

The Nestorian counteroffensive offensive started in the spring of 7683 starting in the town of Sugax. The militaries involved were the Nestorian Special Forces (NEF), the Nestorian navy, Jebron, Yaro, Elcaron with support of the Nestorian National Air Force. The counter offensive was under command of general Bulcon from the mission control department of the Nestorian military. General Bulcon used the spearhead tactic with the forces concentrated on a small part of frontline in order to break through. The Battle of Sugax didn't go as plan, the battle was won by the Nestorian military but the NOR was more prepared than Bulcon had anticipated. General Saron proposed to use the Elition Special Forces as the spearhead in the counter offensive. The Elition Special Forces under command of Tonk Stillone and Nifer Nabes with help from Yaro fought for the Battle of Falson, near Sugax. The battle was a decisive victory for the Elition Special Forces with the neutralization of hundreds or NOR forces with no losses in the Elition Special Forces. After the battle of Falson, Tonk Stillone assumed full control of the unit and the supporting forces. Tonk Stillone at the spearhead fought in 198 battles with 196 wins and 2 draws. However Tonk Stillone claimed that the numbers are wrong and overly optimistic because during the NOR campaign a total of 31 soldiers were killed under his command. The NOR campaign was seen by the Stolvic Orderist Commonwealth as a crime against humanity because it was an extermination campaign and not a campaign to reclaim or stabilize the region.
