The Anibar Civil War was a power struggle between competing anarchist factions within Nestor. As the government had little authority beyond essential functions, various regional groups clashed over control of resources, defense policies, and the future of Nestorian society. Some factions pushed for a more structured military to counter external threats, while others resisted any form of centralization. External nations, including Orderist sympathizers and the SOC, sought to influence the war to their advantage, further deepening the divisions. Throughout the conflict, the King of Nestor, despite having little direct power, played a crucial role as a mediator, attempting to prevent complete societal collapse. The war ultimately ended not in a decisive victory, but in a new equilibrium between tribes, reinforcing the anarchist model that still defines Nestor today. This Nestorian Conflict spanning from 7664 to 7676, marked a significant departure from Nestor's historically stable trajectory. The current death toll has lead to 237 thousands deaths, missing or displaced. The current state of the civil war is stable and the unity south from the Hivik mountain range as been improved as a result of the war on the north of the Hivik mountain range.
7664: Tunir and Legar protests
In 7664, the people of Tunir, at the time part of Kakluncor, organized large protests demanding reforms in how tribal councils managed resources and decision-making. What began as peaceful demonstrations quickly escalated as different ideological factions emerged. The Decentralist Movement, advocating for absolute autonomy of each tribe with no formal coordination, clashed with the Cooperative Anarchists, who believed in a loosely organized body for mutual defense and economic collaboration. In Legar, the protests intensified as Radical Militants, who sought a stronger Nestorian military, confronted Traditionalists, who wanted to maintain the status quo of minimal governance. With tensions rising, the groups fought in the streets, and Nestorian militia forces, mostly aligned with the Traditionalists, intervened to restore order. The government’s response, while restrained by Nestorian standards, resulted in 41 casualties. By the end of the conflict, five major factions had formed, each believing in a different vision for Nestor’s future, deepening ideological divisions within the anarchist system.
In 7664, the people in Tunir at the time part of Kakluncor witnessed a large protest organized by locals from different background. The first protest were peacefull and the people stood united to get reforms started in the government. The Anti-nobility movement who demanded a complete removal of the nobles in the government claiming the current system is corrupt and unjust. The anit-nobility organized a protest in Legar where they came into contact with the Imperial Nationalists who had the opposite view of the Anti-nobility claiming the nobility should get more power to restore stability in the nation. The two groups fought each other in the streets and the Nestorian military had to intervene siding mostly with the Imperials. The government's heavy-handed response, resulting in 41 casualties. In 7664 five groups were created each believing in a different system next to official Nestorian government.

7666: Unrest in the North
The northern regions, particularly Kakluncor and Tricor, became increasingly unstable as various groups clashed over Nestor’s political and social future. Without a centralized government to maintain order, local militias and ideological movements fought to assert their control.
Among the emerging factions, the New Orderist Party (NOP) sought to introduce a structured legal framework to unify Nestorian society under a set of codified laws, a radical departure from the decentralized system. In contrast, the New Orderist Contract (NOC), a more militant offshoot, advocated for Orderist principles, believing that absolute hierarchy was the only way to prevent anarchy from devolving into chaos. Meanwhile, the Nestorian Imperial Party (NIP), consisting of remnants of old monarchist loyalists, pushed for a return to hereditary rule, seeing the existing system as weak and unsustainable.
The Stolvic Commonwealth, the major Orderist power, saw the unrest as an opportunity to destabilize Nestor and covertly supported the New Orderist Contract (NOC) by supplying arms and funding. The NOC became the greatest threat to Nestorian autonomy, not only due to its foreign backing but also because it directly opposed the decentralized anarchist model that had taken hold.
7667-7668: Escalation and Rebellion
GEDI Conspiracy
Unbeknownst to many, the Genetics & Experimental Drugs Institute (GEDI), situated far from the conflict zones in the capital, played a clandestine role. GEDI, with its covert experiments and genetic manipulations, fueled suspicions and conspiracy theories. Whispers about GEDI's involvement in manipulating political leaders and exacerbating social unrest circulated among the factions in the north. Rumors have been going around that the GEDI wants to establish an Eugenic state in Nestor. The New Orderist Contract (NOC) used the conspiracy theories to justify its terroristic actions against the Nestorian government. The GEDI denied any accusations and they advocated for the complete removal of the New Orderist Contract (NOC).
The Divide of the NOC
As the NOC’s tactics became increasingly brutal, including suicide bombings and assassinations, internal divisions began to emerge. In 7668 RH, the faction fractured into three competing groups:
- Nestorian Orderist Rebellion (NOR): The most radical, advocating for the complete dismantling of the anarchist structure and its replacement with an Orderist dictatorship. The NOR heavily weaponized the GEDI conspiracy theories, claiming that only a strict, militarized society could stop manipulation.
- New Orderist Party (NOP): Less radical than the NOR, the NOP abandoned terrorism and instead pushed for a technocratic hierarchy, where leadership would be determined by expertise rather than birthright or pure anarchist principles.
- Nestorian Socialist Party (NSP): Opposed to both the NOR and NOP, the NSP sought progressive changes within the anarchist model, pushing for better representation through decentralized voting structures rather than the rigid hierarchy of the Orderists.
Losing NIP – The Fall of Monarchist Loyalists
As clashes between the NOR, NOP, and NSP escalated, the Nestorian Imperial Party (NIP) found itself increasingly outnumbered. While initially a powerful force advocating for a return to hereditary rule, the NIP struggled against the more ideologically driven factions of the New Orderist movements. As the NOC rebellion gained momentum, the NIP lost key territories and its leaders were forced to retreat into isolated, state-controlled facilities, unable to maintain significant influence.
By the end of 7668 RH, the northern regions of Nestor had descended into factional chaos, with no single group able to claim dominance. The ideological fragmentation of the Orderist movement ensured that no centralized government would emerge, allowing Nestor’s anarchist structure to persist though under extreme internal strife.
7669-7675: Military conflict
Start of Hostilities
By 7669 RH, the Nestorian Conflict escalated into full-scale warfare, turning the once scenic northern landscapes into battlefields. With no central authority to enforce stability, tribal militias, ideological factions, and external forces vied for dominance. Though the fighting intensified, no faction could achieve absolute victory, ensuring the war would become a drawn-out conflict rather than a decisive struggle
Early Battles & Fragmentation
As various factions mobilized, major battles erupted throughout the north. The Hivik mountain range, initially a natural buffer zone, became a contested frontline as groups sought control over strategic routes. With no singular government, the military was forced into a decentralized defense, coordinating with loyalist militias while dealing with numerous insurgent forces.
The Nestorian Orderist Rebellion (NOR), despite suffering from internal ideological disputes, launched effective guerrilla campaigns, striking key supply lines. Their attacks made the region increasingly unstable, forcing many communities to arm themselves for survival. Meanwhile, the New Orderist Party (NOP) concentrated on securing technological assets, believing that control over knowledge and infrastructure would allow them to shape Nestor’s future. The Nestorian Socialist Party (NSP), wary of direct engagement, worked to consolidate progressive governance among sympathetic communities, hoping to push reforms without resorting to outright war.
The Nestorian Imperial Party (NIP), originally an advocate for monarchist rule, shifted its focus entirely toward preserving the status quo, siding with loyalist groups to prevent Orderist factions from gaining control. Facing both the NOR’s terrorist attacks and the NOP’s strategic positioning, the NIP suffered heavy casualties throughout the war.
Foreign Involvement & the Proxy War
The Stolvic Commonwealth, eager to further destabilize Nestor, provided direct military support to the NOR and NOP, hoping to install Orderist sympathizers. This turned Nestor into a proxy battleground, with foreign weapons fueling the conflict.
Recognizing the growing external threat, Livaria cooperated with the Nestorian Navy in joint maritime operations, intercepting weapons shipments intended for NOR strongholds. Tensions between Stolvic and Livarian forces escalated, almost leading to open warfare at sea. A near-conflict was averted in 7670 RH through the XXX Accords, an international agreement that prevented Stolvic and Livaria from directly engaging in combat within Nestorian waters.
Despite this agreement, in 7670, the NOR captured Veclar military base, securing a massive stockpile of military equipment. This victory allowed them to continue their insurgency without direct Stolvic aid. Between 7671 and 7674 RH, NOR militants launched a wave of terrorist attacks, the worst of which took place in Lioc, killing nearly 1,100 civilians. These attacks further cemented NOR’s reputation as an existential threat to Nestorian autonomy.
The Cold War Between Tribes (7675 - Present)
By 7675 RH, no clear victor had emerged, but the conflict slowed, transitioning into a period of uneasy tension rather than open war. The former battlefronts did not dissolve, but instead became entrenched zones of hostility, with skirmishes and tribal rivalries continuing sporadically.
The region of the north, which used to be Legar to Tunir, once formed the Anibar’s borders, was expanded to its modern boundaries, marking the beginning and end of the "unstable zone." Other nations began questioning whether this war-torn area was still part of Nestor or had effectively become a lawless region, governed only by the 3500 tribal councils, each of which remained hostile to the others.
Although outright war had ceased, violence remained a constant threat, and many feared that full-scale war could resume at any moment. With external actors still influencing factions, and ideological differences unresolved, the North remains in a state of perpetual cold war, an unstable land where true peace may never return.
