The Blue Mountains (Blååsarna in Wortsproke, Blauboaj in Mörenburger Stoldish) is a mountain range in central Stoldavia, mainly located in Vittmark. As a geographical region, it is poorly defined, with some interpretations only indicating the watershed divide between northern Stoldavia and the Reiki river basin as the Blue Mountains, while others include the entire mountainous regions of Kulla and Sörmark as well. The name "Blue Mountains" refers to the visial appearance of the mountain range as seen mainly from Ådalen.

Blue Mountains range

As a mountain range, the Blue Mountains extend from the border between Vittmark and the United Provinces into the border region with XX over a length of 500-600 km. With only a handful of mountain passes, none of them under 2800 meters above sea level, this truly is a watershed divider. It took until the 7570's for a more reliable connection through the range was made possible, after the opening of the Blue Mountains Railways. Highest peak is Galtåsen at 5705 m above sea level. Ramberget is actually a bit higher, but the entire top is a small ice cap, which does not count officially in the mountain peak's height.

Blue Mountains region

The region contains the entire Vittmarker states of Kulla and Sörmark, as well as the mountain flanks outside the borders of Vittmark. The fact that the Mörenburgers the region containing Nelfesthal (Inälvsdalen), Boajop (Uppförsbackar) and Freisaten (Friställen) jointly were referred to as Blaubaoj supports the claim that the entire region should be labeled as Blue Mountains.
