The Exhibition of Achievements of National Economy (Выставка достижений народного хозяйства) is a permanent general purpose trade show and amusement park covering an area of 2.5 million square metres, of which 375,000 square metres is used for indoor exhibits.  It is located in the eastern section of the city, at that end of the Grand Avenue of the Republic.  The grounds encompass numerous pavilions, each dedicated to a different area of commercial, economic, or industrial interest.  These include the pavilions for agriculture, atomic energy, aviation, communications, culture, education, engineering, heavy industry, light industry, oceanography and marine biology, radioelectronics, space research and exploration, and transport.
