SK Safronov

SK Safronov (Arvorian: СК Сафронов) is an Arvorian direct marketing retail services co-operative (сервисный кооператив) founded in 7580 RH by Andrei Sergeevich Safronov. It publishes an annual catalogue which advertises various brands of apparel, footwear, accessories, cosmetics, jewelry, housewares, toys, tools, small appliances, and electronics. It sells products from some of the nation's best-known and most popular brands.

History

Andrei Sergeevich Safronov (А.С.Сафронов, 7529-7620) opened a brick-and-mortar shop on Voznesensky Prospekt in Sevestroma in 7570 RH in collaboration with his two younger brothers, Leonid Sergeevich (7531-7628) and Dmitriy Sergeevich (7535-7621). It sold clothes, accessories, jewelry, cosmetics, and footwear. As business prospered and more customers began to visit, the brothers were forced to adapt to the increased custom by offering a home delivery service for those patrons who lived in the more outlying areas of the city. This grew quickly and gradually overtook the physical location for sales volume. Thus, in mid-Estorun of 7580 RH, they released their first mail order catalogue, named simply САФРОНОВ (SAFRONOV) aimed primarily at customers and potential customers who lived outside the city. It had 100 pages and contained more than 2,000 items.

The intervening years brought further success as the company expanded its offerings and reach, teaming with delivery services in communities throughout the country as it grew. The firm had extended its ordering and delivery service throughout the ADR by 7605 RH. Its catalogue reached its current 250-page size by that same year. Each year's edition sees removals and additions, providing customers with a variety of new products to peruse.

During the Wolgos Scourge and the Second Coalition War, the company used its logistics service to assist in moving care packages and mail for members of the Armed Forces throughout the country by providing designated drop-off and pickup locations. It also assisted the war effort by supplementing supply delivery operations. As of current date, there are still members of the Safronov family involved in the co-operative's work. A street in the Sevestroma business district was named Safronova Prospekt in 7630 in honour of the Safronov brothers.

Service

The Safronov catalogue is available nationwide by calling a toll-free telephone number via which returning customers and new customers can order a copy, which costs ₽3. Returning customers can identify themselves to the service associate with their customer account number. New customers, as part of the ongoing promotional to invite new business, receive a complimentary personal cosmetic or leather wallet and keyring set (the customer's choice) and a ₽5 certificate good towards any purchase. Orders can be placed either via mailing an order form in or calling the toll-free customer service line, which is available every day of the year except for bank holidays. Accepted forms of payment include cheque, cashier's cheque, as well as the Amethyst (Аметист), Electro (Электро), Gold Handshake (Золотое рукопожатие), and Proton (Протон) credit cards. Return service is available at no cost to the customer.

The firm operates eight distribution centres nationwide and employs nearly 30,000 people. Its main offices are located in Sevestroma.
