Amajin
The Amajin Republic (Kumhuwren Amajin) is a sovereign nation located in north-western Davai. It occupies the Kisaga Peninsula and the Hwandeon Archipelago. The Republic borders Kamura to the south, Yan to the southeast, Ameratsu to the west, and is across the Arctic Strait from Kusawen.
History
The Amajin people, originally from east-central Davai north of the Laskarham Shield, have a long history as a nomadic warrior nation. Known for their swift shock tactics on the battlefield, they earned a reputation across the Neheran Steppe. Over centuries, they adapted their culture while maintaining their matriarchal and martial traditions.
Beginning in the mid-6000s, they migrated westward due to deteriorating conditions at home. Some crossed through the Breach to the Far West, while others traveled via the Phasian Sea through Ithrien. They formed important connections across three continents and managed cartels and companies that facilitated the transfer of wealth, goods, and ideas.
Their pre-modern peak was the establishment of the Great Amajin Empire in western Davai, following the conquests of Seyran Kabar in 6871. The empire left a lasting legacy, celebrated by Amajin nationalists and feared by their opponents.
The Amajin Republic was established following independence wars against the Third Yan Empire in the 7460s, achieving freedom for the Kisaga Peninsula in 7468. The Republic is a parliamentary republic where the Deyan, a class of matriarchs, serves as guiding figures.
