The Förbundsdag is the Federal Parliament of Vittmark. It has 201 seats and members are chosen through state level and federal representative elections. 100 seats are allocated through the 12 member states. Smaller states like Kulla only have one representative, while large states 9 to 11 and Liden even 18. Kulla, Ådalen and Liden still apply a district level election with a first past the post system, whereas the other states appoint their representatives based on the state level election results. All the votes that have not been represented on the district or state level are added into a national total, upon which the remaining 100 seats are allocated. The reigning monarch is the chairperson of federal parliament on paper and as such the 201st member, but most often the role of chair is delegated to one of the 200 other members.

Beside strictly legislative tasks, it also allocates federal funding from lower level taxes, federal taxes and other income as part of the federal budget. For the legislative task, the upper house or senate called Förbundsting controls for internal legislative consistency and the relation with the constitution.
