Aedalberht av Rygír is the second dynastic Fører of Aedeland.
Early life
Aedalberht was born at Áræði in 7598. His father Ásgeirr was the first Fører of the New Republic. His mother was Guinevere Oskoreia. He was fifteen when his father was elected Fører.
Military service
Aedalberht volunteered for military service at fifteen. He served with distinction in the civil strife that followed his father's election and was awarded the Blóð Ære after losing his eye in combat. He received a field promotion to lieutenant of the Jægerkorps at the age of seventeen. He was instrumental in developing vertical envelopment and was commandant of the Jægerkorps from 7621 to his election as Fører in 7646.
Fører
Named Fører at the age of thirty-two after the death of his father. Aedalberht was active in the Valfǫðr-sonr from a young age and recognized as heir apparent early in his father's leadership. As Fører, Aedalberht continued the policies of his father. However, he pursued public works with less enthusiasm as his reign progressed and intensified the persecution of antisocial and opposition groups. Aedalberht's energetic and ambitious leadership bordered on obsession.
Personal life
Marriage and children
Aedalberht never married and professed through out his life that he was married to the state.
