Aleksandr Antonovich Belikov was an Arvorian economist, historian, political theorist, and politician who was one of the Founders of the Arvorian Democratic Republic and served as its first Premier. Through his seminal works, In the Cause of the People and Labour and Dignity, he formed the socialist movement and inspired and led the reformation of the Commonwealth of Free Peoples into the modern Democratic Republic. He is remembered by history as the "Father of Socialism" and the "Father of Socialist Arvor".
Belikov's ideas and their subsequent development, collectively known as Belikovism, have had enormous influence on modern intellectual, economic and political history.
Early life
Belikov was born in Berebna, in Ust-Udinsk Oblast, on 1-20-7508. Throughout his life, his friends and colleagues knew him as "Sasha", while his family and closest friends knew him as "Sanya". He was the second of five children, having an older sister, Maria Antonova (born 7506), two younger brothers, Dmitry Antonovich (born 7510) and Nikolay Antonovich (born 7512), and a sister, Olga Antonova (born 7514). His parents, Anton Viktorovich and Raisa Maximovna, were devout Orkanists. His father worked for the East Coast Railroad (Железная дорога Восточного побережья) for thirty years while his mother was a homemaker. Anton's work granted him a comfortable wage and allowed him to provide for his children.
From an early age, Belikov showed a natural love for reading and consistently performed above expectations in his lessons. Weekends with his paternal grandfather, Viktor Sergeyevich, instilled in him a love for fishing and oil painting. His paternal grandmother, Lyudmila Vladimirovna, doted on him and his siblings, and his memoirs written after his two terms as premier ended made a point to go into exquisite detail about "the delicious, mouth-watering aromas that seemed always to be coming from her kitchen, and how she always had a loaf of fresh darnitskiy on the table for us to enjoy a slice of." His maternal grandfather, Ilya Yakovlevich Mazalov, passed shortly before his fifth birthday in a mining accident at Kalidny. His maternal grandmother, Natalia Nikolayevna, moved into a small apartment near the Belikov family home where she lived until her own death in 7546. Belikov remembered her as a "woman of unrivaled wit who was a master of needle and thread that at one point or another knit or mended at least one garment for everyone in town".
