The Lusavanic language (Լուսևաներեն Լեզու [lusɑˈvɛˈɾɛn lɛˈzu] Lusav'eren Lezu) is a Heyelrem language spoken predominately by the Lusavanic people of central Anaria Minor. It is the most widely spoken of the Heyelrem languages, and originated and is spoken throughout the Makur Valley. It is the official language of Tavonia and East Lusavan, as as being an official langugage in XXX. A small minority also speaks the language in Anisora, though it does not retain any official status in the country.

The total number of Lusavanic speakers is around 31 million. Lusavanic is mutually intelligible with the Tavonian language, another Heyelrem language, spoken by around 700,000 people in western Lusavan, modern day Tavonia.

Lusavanic is written in the Ralvaran script of a 39 letter alphabet, used by most Heyelrem languages, although the Dragaric script is also widely used, particularly in historically Anisoran-influenced and controlled regions of Lusavan. In both Tavonia and East Lusavan, where Lusavanic is the majority and official language, official documents are sometimes presented in both Ralvaran and Dragaric scripts for ease of comprehension. The Lusavanic language is regulated by the Lusavanic Academy (Լուսևաներեն Ակադեմիա (Lusav'eren Akademia)), located in Tenalevan, in East Lusavan, though a rival linguistic academy has now been set up in Karmon, in Tavonia.

Ralvaran alphabet

Lusavanic is mostly written using the Ralvaran alphabet of 39 letters.

The alphabet, according to Lusavanic tradition, was developed by Aram, Prince of Ralvaran, in the 51st century. Some linguistic scholars, however, question this historic attribution, arguing rather for an adoption date in what is modern Lusava in the 58th century.a
