The Skólkr̥tos-91 ("Thunderstrike-91") is the standard pistol used by the H2egmegh2 forces of Hergom ep Swekorwos, a pistol mass-produced for issue to active servicemen. The current pistol is the 6th variant of a design dating to 7668. The pistol is iconic for its carbine-like cartridge loading mechanism placed in front of the grip, its longer-than-usual barrel, grip with a spine indent to mount a stock. The pistol firing rate is slower by a few milliseconds than expected as loading ammunition has to travel back by a few centimetres to reach the back of the barrel and hammer.
The standard ammunition is 25×50mm Wolgos Pistol Standard cartridge. A high calibre that produces a strong recoil and devastating damage, it's not uncommon for solid bullets to pierce and exit targets with a large exit wound and as such, it's not uncommon for standard cartridges to use hollow point bullets to reduce the likelihood of their target exit. The pistol specialises in exiting wounds and hydrostatic damage to eliminate targets; a headshot will destroy the brain and shatter the skull, torso shots will rupture organs and joint shots to hips, elbows and ankles, for example, will lead to irreparable destruction. The pistol has been designed to maximise damage and the likelihood of death.
With its strong recoil, five-kilogram weight and wolgos ergonomics the pistol cannot be effectively used by most humans. A single firing can sprain a human wrist, and repeated use will cause ligament damage or fractures on humans.
